Research in Progress

The BSHM's annual meeting to showcase the work of  research students in the History of Mathematics, which concludes with a lecture by a senior academic.

This year's senior speaker will be Catherine Goldstein (Institut de mathématiques de Jussieu-Paris Rive gauche), who will speak on the subject "Chessboards and numbers: the case of Henri Delannoy".

Confirmed student speakers are Brigitte Stenhouse (The Open University), Troy Astarte (Newcastle), Kevin Baker (Oxford), Liu Xi (Xi'an & Oxford) and Hans Gaebler (Oxford).

The meeting will begin at 10:30am, and  conclude by 5pm.  A programme with abstracts is attached below, as is a link to registration.
