French website for the history of science and mathematics

Monday 1 July 2019

The Friends of the National Library of France have launched a new website site (in French), Les sciences au fil du temps ("Sciences over time") http://sciences.amisbnf.org/, which they seek to promote and develop internationally. "Sciences over time" is both a selective bibliography (describing the major works in the history of science from the Aristotelian period to 1953, date of discovery of the DNA molecule) and a portal giving access to the digitized version of the texts, and also reporting at least one library in France or in the world that holds a copy of the original printed edition. It is the culmination of a project initiated and supported by Philippe Zoummeroff, industrialist, patron and administrator of the Association of the friends of the National Library of France.

They are also soliciting contributions to enrichment the bibliography, by submitting references which would seem relevant to you. Any corrections and any comments that you think would be appropriate will also be welcome: http://sciences.amisbnf.org/fr/page/contribuer
